A triumphant 5th Global Face Art event for Kryolan

POSTED ON 14. MAY 2014
Kryolan Professional Make-up has just completed it’s 5th international Global Face Art Event in Dubai – or GFA2014 - where more than 220 make-up artists from over 30 nations came together to witness the cream of the globe’s professionals in action.
we plan to take GFA to make-up artists around the world, to give every make-up artist the opportunity to access this level of education from world-class artists of all disciplines.

Taking place at Dubai’s prestigious Community Theatre & Arts Centre, it’s the first time the event has been hosted outside of Europe.

Over three days, from 4th to 6th May, guests were wowed with in-depth, on-stage demonstrations from 12 artists at the top of their game in beauty - including LA-based celebrity MUA, Siân Richards, fashion & avant garde - with inspirational looks from London Fashion Week favourite, Lan Nguyen-Grealis, along breathtaking SFX, stunning face art and a variety of fashion and beauty looks from our many onstage demonstrations.

The GFA audience experienced an exclusive insight into trend predictions for 2015 – presented by our very own MUAs Paul Merchant & Gemma Horner, and the Kryolan marketing team Nadine Langer & Paulina Deptula. Expect to see orange lips, color block eye shadow, shimmering nails and much more over the next year.

Highlights included Kryolan director, Dominik Langer, being transformed into the Phantom Of The Opera by SFX supremo Stephen Murphy, and exclusive appearances from Middle Eastern MUA stars, Sumaiya Al Riyami and Ahmad Al Assir and Kryolan’s head of make-up & education, Jos Brands, charming the audience with his outstanding airbrush technique.

The guests also enjoyed a magnificent appearance from the winner of USA SFX reality show, Face Off, the brilliant Rashaad Santiago, as he created a prosthetic Creature Feature masterpiece.

The event culminated with a spectacular, LIVE on-stage fashion shoot, hosted by leading London fashion stylist, Joey Bevan, which gave the audience a genuine insight into a real shoot - complete with real time make-up & styling, pop-up photo studio, couture gowns and some of Dubai's leading models.

As the highly popular & successful Global Face Art events, curated and hosted by Kryolan every two years goes from strength to strength, the question is, where in the world will the next one take place?

Wolfram Langer, CEO of Kryolan, who hosts each event along with his family, comments; "we chose the vibrant city of Dubai for GFA2014 because of our huge fan base in the Middle East and the wealth of MUA talent in this part of the world. Over the coming years, we plan to take GFA to make-up artists around the world, to give every make-up artist the opportunity to access this level of education from world-class artists of all disciplines.

"Our brand, started by my father in his chemistry lab, is now an significant international force. However, despite our growth, education remains at the heart of our brand, which is why we are committed to providing professional insight, inspiration and learnings to MUAs the world over, and will continue to work tirelessly to make products that perform to the highest standards, by taking our scientific approach to product development."

The planning for GFA2016 is already underway. City to be announced.

At Kryolan, we make make-up. But not like anybody else. Because unlike everybody else, we actually make our make-up. We‘ve done it our own way for more than 70 years and three generations. We think of it. We manufacture it. Formulate it and love it into existence. There is only one real professional make-up maker. There is only one Kryolan.
